FOR OUR GUARDIANS and A HERO GOING HOME
To fellow patriots and “Backer’s of the Blue:”
Tomorrow, February 2nd will mark the funeral of Officer William Mora who was wantonly killed on duty wearing his uniform and badge, in a senseless and inscrutable act of violence, while serving ALL the people of New York. He sacrificed his life so ours could be safer. “Greater love than this hath no man or woman than that they lay down their life for their friends.” At its core, enlightened Police Professionalism is a Guardianship, its members an extended family, of which Mora and Riviera were two among countless others, dedicated to preserving and ensuring maximum well being and survivability to the entire community.
What has been lost in the scurrilous attacks of the noble role of professional police officers is that the circle of their friendship in not exclusionary, is not circumscribed by the accidents of race, color, creed or gender. The fundamental role of a police officer is to serve MANKIND, to safeguard lives and property, to protect everyone regardless of status, achievements, degree of virtue, or station in life. They are defenders of the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence and disorder, and to respect the Constitutional rights of all to liberty, equality, and justice.
There has been a concerted effort going on for years to dismantle and destroy the police by Marxists, anarchists and other unsavory elements of society. The efforts to dehumanize the police is a part of the larger goal of besmirching the American story—indeed to change its origin story itself, as evidenced by the New York Times 1619 Project----amounting to a campaign to transform America’s societal structure. The police are accused of mass brutalities and the outrageous claim is made that even the existence of the police is a manifestation of racism. Activists march in the streets yelling, “Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon” Protestors chant, “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want it? Now!” A message posted by the African American Defense League urged its followers to “hold a barbeque” and “sprinkle Pigs Blood!”
As the coffin of Officer Mora is lowered into the ground and as dirt is shoveled upon it, let us weep with his family and fellow officers and consider the hateful rhetoric which serves to incite violence against the police. Yet the left, many officials and their media propagandists act like rabble rousers rather than like agents of responsibility seeking to restore respect for the police and accountability for the fomenters of animosity and the perpetrators of violence.
In this tragic circumstance reflect upon the perspective of the police, “every time you walk up to a car you could be killed. Every time you go into a building where there is a robbery or reported domestic abuse, you could be killed.” Think about the data that reveals that when police officers in tense and unknown circumstances hesitate to act, they die.
Back the Blue. Back the Blue. Back the Blue. Our enemies know there can be no America without her Guardians: finely trained, honorable, fearless and ever vigilant. And there can be no Guardians without us: compassionate, informed, alert and courageous. Back the Blue!
Pat Brosnan when asked why he commissioned the Archangel Michael Statue Nemorial to honor Officers Mora and Rivera he replied, “it was the least I could do.”

‘Hero Going Home’ Archangel Michael Pays Tribute to 32nd Precinct Fallen Officers
Patrick Brosnan, former NYPD detective, is proud to offer the Archangel Michael statue memorial to honor NYPD Officers Wilbert Mora and Jason Rivera who were mortally wounded on Saturday, January 21, 2022, in the line of duty. It is the sincere hope that this statue, which will be displayed in front of NYPD’s 32nd Precinct for a short period of time, will bring solace and some comfort to those who grieve the loss of these two dedicated officers who lost their lives in service of others.
The archangel St. Michael is the patron saint of police officers, the military, and others who are traditionally engaged in protection of the innocent. He is considered a champion of justice and a healer of the sick. In this depiction, St. Michael cradles a fallen officer who has been mortally wounded while executing his sworn duty to serve and protect. St. Michael’s sword of righteousness is held aloft and his eyes look to Heaven, as he protects this hero during his last mortal breath.
This is a bronze original statue of the Archangel Michael coming to the aid of a fallen law enforcement officer. The original statue was the work of Mr. Paul Tadlock and dedicated by the Odessa Police Officers Memorial Foundation to the Odessa Police Department. New York native Mr. Pat Brosnan, owner and CEO of Brosnan Risk Consultants and a former NYPD Detective, was inspired by the statue and commissioned this work in memory of law enforcement members who have lost their lives in the line of duty. He believes it is a fitting and appropriate homage to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and had it designed to be available for display during memorial services for fallen heroes. When Detective Brosnan was asked why he was compelled to commission the statue in honor of the fallen, Brosnan simply replied, “it was the least I could do.”
