THE CRUDITY OF THE OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE LEFT!!!
I recently posted my encomium to Charlie Kirk to emphasize his commitment to free speech and opposition to censorship which is encompassed by his plea to left liberal commentator Van Jones, just the day prior to his assassination. “Let’s agree disagreeably.” Vance was in near tears as he mourned Charlies passing with whom he had publicly clashed on every salient issue in the political domain. He held Charlie up as an exemplar of honesty and non-acrimonious debate.
I expected what I wrote to be non-controversial as it only praised Charlie in the spirit of Van Jones and decried hate wherever it reared its ugly head. I was surprised by two responses, neither of which was relevant to my praise of Charlie. One a man, JG fumed tediously “what about Trump spewing hatred,” the other a woman, GW was speciously critical of the photo I published of a large stadium filled with people. She claimed since it wasn’t the same full stadium, filled with people from various parts of the country and world, by those celebrating Charlie’s life, it was misleading because larger. I considered each as representative of TDS, irrelevant and non- responsive to the subject at hand and mean spirited to boot. Hint, Trump is not the answer to everything and often is inflammatory (heat not light) which serves as a distraction rather than an illumination.
For those possessed of that mind set no discussion is possible and any attempt to engage in rational discourse is futile. This post has more modest ambition. Other than a mention of the left’s obsession with Trump, he is no part of it. Instead, I am throwing down the gauntlet to those who do not mention, certainly do not defend, (to my knowledge) the chief promulgators of hate from the disloyal opposition.
I urge them to “remove the mote from their own eye,” before castigating Trump supporters and dehumanizing Trump. My purpose is not to defend Trump but to challenge those who inhale the toxicity expelled by Ilhan Omar, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, and Governor Newsome. Take off your gas masks and momentarily confront the bitter hostility which these Whited Sepulchers spew, then either defend them, support them or remain ignominiously silent as they escalate their intense aggression purposed to culminate in violence. Defend them if you so choose it will help us is in defining who you are as we stubbornly seek common ground.
You are against Trump that much is clear, we have heard a surfeit of that, but we are unaware of your support or antagonism to the above named “usual suspects.” Do they represent the America we want to become, or like me, do you consider them an existential threat to our inherent values.
My challenge is intended as an invitation to dialogue, do you understand it as such, or does it mark the end of our discussion, which has never really begun. I also, invite you to read the perceptive article hereinbelow as the context for my remarks above.
The Crudity of the Obsessive-Compulsive Left
The left’s crude obsession with Trump and conservatives now fuels sabotage, slander, and even celebration of violence—proof their hatred has gone global and unhinged.
But they remind us that the left-wing hatred of the president has gone global—even after two near-successful assassination attempts.
The House of Representatives recently offered a resolution honoring the life and legacy of the conservative organizer Charlie Kirk, murdered by a leftist assassin.
The left both feared and hated Kirk. Why?
He had been singularly successful in redirecting youth’s natural rebelliousness against the status quo onto the ruling, ossified liberal establishment.
Kirk was winning over a new generation of young Americans to be counter-culturalists and counter-revolutionaries.
He urged them to question the entire left-wing orthodoxy of higher education, the corporate media, and popular culture—the ruling institutions that the baby boomers had enshrined as the current establishment.
His singular success may be why the terrified left attacked him as much after death as they had while he was alive.
The House effort had followed an earlier bipartisan unanimous resolution honoring a Democratic Minnesota state legislator and her husband, recently murdered by an anti-abortionist assassin.
But unlike that earlier commemoration unanimously passed by all Democrats and Republicans, Kirk’s resolution was variously opposed by over 118 Democrat House members.
The new radical Democrats who increasingly control the party, such as Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Jasmine Crockett, were vocal in smearing the resolution.
But they went well beyond voting no by gratuitously slandering the late Charlie Kirk as an inveterate racist and all-around toxic person not worthy of any commemoration.
The common denominator to all their hateful outbursts was their venomous ignorance, given that they either never referenced anything Kirk actually said and wrote or quoted him inaccurately.
The race-obsessed Crockett whined that “only two Caucasians” had opposed the resolution commemorating Kirk’s life.
But this was another lie, since the majority of Democrats expressed their opposition either by voting no (58), abstaining by voting present (38), or by not voting at all (22).
Thus, contrary to Crockett’s trademark racist ranting, the majority of Democratic House members who opposed the resolution included far more than “two Caucasians.”
And even if she were honest, in her racialized world of hatred, would it have been more racist if only “two Caucasians” had opposed the resolution or if the vast majority of the Hispanic and Black caucuses in bloc fashion had overwhelmingly and disproportionately condemned and denigrated Kirk and the resolution?
Governor Newsome had also earlier threatened the president with violence, “We are going to fight back and we’re going to punch this bully in the mouth.”
And Newsom had earlier extended that warning to half the nation of Trump supporters: “I’m gonna punch these sons of bitches in the mouth.”
The only mystery about the new obsessive-compulsive left is whether their vulgarity, violence, and crudity trickle top-down from the uncouth Democrat elite—or rise bottom-up from thuggish Antifa, BLM, and the rioters who attack ICE and Tesla dealerships, and disrupt Charlie Kirk’s funeral services.
